Sample of quilted fabric used for sewing machine cover.

Quilting fabric with the attachment: Mark only the first seam on fabric. Sew on that seam marking, then use this first seam as a guide, using the leg as a guide in a previously sewn seam for all remaining seams. If you are sewing a diamond or square pattern, sew all the parallel seams first, then mark a seam at a 90 degree angle and continue using the guide leg for the intersecting seams. It is helpful to lighten your presser foot tension to prevent waving of fabric.

Directions for setting leg guide seam width: Attach your walking foot to your sewing machine and clip attachment to the back of your walking foot. Clip the attachment to the walking foot in a position that allows you to use the machine presser foot lifter. Some machines require the attachment to be inserted at a downward angle from the back or lower on the foot. The attachment will work in any position. Lower sewing machine needle and measure out from needle putting leg at desired width. Tighten setscrew of the leg to set it at the correct width. Do this for both legs. If one of the legs gets moved out of alignment, it is easy to correct with a gentle push.

We have included thinner gripper pads to use if you feel that the grip of the clip is to loose for your walking foot. Just apply the thinner pads onto the thicker pads already installed on the gripper clip or apply the thinner pads to the sides of your walking foot whichever you prefer. If you feel that there is too much clip grip for your walking foot, peel off the thicker pads already installed on the gripper clip and replace with the thinner pads.

Quilting Seam Guide Attachment

MAKE BEAUTIFULLY QUILTED PROJECTS EASILY AND QUICKLY WITH PROFESSIONAL RESULTS! QUILT FABRIC FOR PURSES, TOTES, JACKETS, YOKES, PLACEMATS, SEWING MACHINE COVERS, KITCHEN APPLIANCE COVERS, AND ANYTHING QUILTED!

Universal, fits most manufacturers walking/even feed feet. (walking foot not included) Does not fit Juki or walking feet wider than 1". Allows you to sew precise seams at a set distance from either side of the needle to make from 5/8" to 2-3/4" channels on either side of the needle. Reposition the back adjuster bar to one side to sew even wider width channels from one side of the needle, using only one guide leg, up to 5-1/2" wide. Just loosen the wing nut and slide the back bar into desired position then re-tighten, holding pressure with your finger on the screw inside the clip to keep it from turning. Use the 3" bar for sewing 1-1/4" or narrower seam widths, the 6" bar for wider seam widths. If you use a certain width frequently, the 6" bar is easily cut to any length with a hand saw . No more continuous marking and taping for quilting. Beautiful results when sewing seams from both directions on either side of the needle. Very convenient ability when quilting. Allows you to keep the bulk of the fabric on the left side of the needle when desired. Allows sewing/quilting in either direction without having to take fabric off sewing machine and starting over at the top. Allows you to sew up one seam and down another from either side of the needle, helping to minimize the fabric from crawling in only one direction and waving.
